Mayo Clinic - Intensive Training for Robotic Surgery Assisting

AAPA - American Academy of Physician Assistants (7.00 hours), ANCC - American Nurses Credentialing Center (7.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (7.00 hours)

This course is a one-day intensive course meticulously engineered for experienced surgical assisting professionals (SA, PA/NP, RNFA). This program moves beyond basic operation, focusing intensely on the principles of accuracy, efficiency, and critical knowledge required of an expert assistant. Participants will engage with leading robotic experts through high-fidelity simulation labs and live demonstrations, solidifying their understanding of the surgical robotic system. The curriculum is structured to ensure direct, hands-on experience and a focus on measurable efficiency and accuracy metrics driving participants toward surgical assisting mastery.

1. Identify parts of the surgical robot and their function.
2. Describe the role of the surgical assistant during a robotic surgery.
